How to Configure the Wireless Settings of ipTIME N604R Router

After setting up your ipTIME N604R router in English mode, you may want to configure the wireless settings of the router to create a secure and reliable wireless network. Here are the steps to do so:

  • Log in to the web interface of the router as described in the previous section.

  • Click the Wireless tab on the top menu.

  • On the left sidebar, click the Basic Settings option.

  • On the right panel, you can change the following settings:

  • Wireless Mode: You can choose between 802.11b/g/n or 802.11n only. The former mode is compatible with older devices, but the latter mode offers faster speeds and better performance.

  • SSID: This is the name of your wireless network. You can enter any name you want, but make sure it is unique and easy to remember.

  • Broadcast SSID: This option determines whether your wireless network name will be visible to other devices or not. If you enable this option, your network name will appear in the list of available networks. If you disable this option, your network name will be hidden and you will need to enter it manually on your devices.

  • Channel: This option determines which frequency band your wireless network will use. You can choose between Auto, 1-13, or 36-165. The Auto option will automatically select the best channel based on the interference level. The other options will let you manually select a specific channel. It is recommended to use the Auto option unless you have a specific reason to use a different channel.

  • Bandwidth: This option determines how much data your wireless network can transmit at a time. You can choose between 20MHz, 40MHz, or AUTO. The higher the bandwidth, the faster the speed, but also the more interference. The AUTO option will automatically adjust the bandwidth based on the network conditions. It is recommended to use the AUTO option unless you have a specific reason to use a different bandwidth.

  • Tx Power: This option determines how strong the signal of your wireless network will be. You can choose between Lv1-Lv5, with Lv5 being the strongest and Lv1 being the weakest. The higher the power, the wider the coverage, but also the more energy consumption and heat generation. It is recommended to use the default setting of Lv3 unless you have a specific reason to use a different power level.

  • Schedule On/Off: This option allows you to set a schedule for turning on and off your wireless network. You can specify the start and end time for each day of the week. This feature can help you save energy and enhance security by disabling your wireless network when you don't need it.

  • Schedule Reboot: This option allows you to set a schedule for rebooting your router. You can specify the time and frequency for rebooting your router. This feature can help you maintain optimal performance and stability by refreshing your router periodically.

  • After changing any settings, click the Apply Changes button at the bottom of the page to save them.

  • If you want to configure more advanced wireless settings, such as security, MAC filtering, WPS, guest network, etc., you can click the corresponding options on the left sidebar and follow the instructions on the right panel.

Congratulations! You have successfully configured the wireless settings of your ipTIME N604R router. You can now enjoy a fast and secure wireless network with your devices. If you have any questions or problems, please contact ipTIME customer service at . Thank you for choosing ipTIME! e0e6b7cb5c
